Description
Provide daily on-site supervision of subcontractors. Monitor contractor production, schedule and performance. Manage subcontractor Daily Production Reports. Assist with coordination aspects as directed by the CCI Project Managers. Prepare independent cost estimates. Comply with all guidelines, policies and procedures established by CCI while on shift, on call or attending training. Initiate problem solving and perform repairs on any required work-related equipment, in a timely manner and within the boundaries of previous training. Conduct safety audits. Assist with contractor quality control and safety at construction locations. Assist and fill in for CCI Project Managers when they are not available. Assist subcontractors with Army procedures and rules. Manage subcontractor base access issues. Ensure contractors complete work on schedule while fulfilling warranty issues. Assist Project Managers on walk-thru’s with contractors and the Army for bidding purposes. Work directly with Army Public Works Department. Communicate daily status of current projects to Project Manager to ensure all projects are timely and within CCI standards. Maintain 100% “Compliance Readiness” in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements. Maintain 100% “Safety Standards and Accountability” in all areas or mandatory/regulatory requirements, which include: Taking necessary action when behaviors or conditions around you may be unsafe. Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly. Facilitating or participating in CCI safety meetings, work safely and maintain a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI. Willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident. Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working. Maintain and demonstrate proficient working knowledge of all work-related equipment, policies, procedures and tactics at all times. Perform daily/weekly on-site customer interface.
Education
Must have a 4 year degree in related field.
Experience
Ability to clearly speak, write, read and understand the English language. Basic computer experience, including the ability to take online training, email general reports and use Microsoft Word. Knowledge and experience of project and construction practices. Knowledge and experience with Army and other federal agency, policies and procedures for construction contracts. Working knowledge and experience with scheduling. Working knowledge and experience with project/contract budgets. Ability to execute safety and quality control plans. Must have excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills that include good listening, providing clear direction and effective feedback. Knowledge and experience of project and construction practices. Knowledge and experience any federal agency, policies and procedures for construction contracts. Working knowledge and experience with scheduling. Working knowledge and experience with project/contract budgets. Ability to execute safety and quality control plans. Must have excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills that include good listening, providing clear direction and effective feedback.
Special Requirements/Certifications
30 Hours OSHA Construction Safety Training desired along with ACOE CQC Training.
Physical Requirements
Physical and technical requirements that meet the standards of CCI. Lifting up to 70lbs, pushing/pulling up to 100lbs, carrying up to 50lbs, shoveling up to 20lbs, frequent walking and standing, occasional keyboard use, sitting, bending, twisting and reaching. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
